From Creators (Account Holders)
- Name and email address (account registration)
- Payment information (processed by Stripe — we never store card details)
- Business/brand name and sponsor details you provide
- Giveaway campaign content you create
From Participants (Entrants)
- Name and email address (required to enter a giveaway)
- Social media handles (for social entry methods, if you choose)
- Photos (for photo upload, photo challenge, and virtual safari hunt entry methods, if you choose) — these may be evaluated by our AI vision model to verify they match the challenge prompt
- Location data (only if you use a geo check-in or virtual safari hunt entry method and grant permission)
- Poll and survey responses you submit
- Survey-for-coupon responses (when you complete a standalone survey campaign)
- Mini-game play results and instant-win coupon claims (game entry methods)
- Interactive video engagement (poll votes, drops, lead-capture email) when you participate in a BrandPrize Interactive campaign
- Approximate device location (only when geo-fence proximity alerts are enabled) — checked only to fire nearby-store notifications, not continuously tracked
- IP address (for fraud detection and eligibility verification)

3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and provide the Platform's giveaway features
- To send participation and winner coupon emails
- To process payments securely via Stripe
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse
- To send transactional emails (entry confirmation, winner notifications)
- To deliver Ad Campaigns you may receive from Creators (branded email and in-app alerts), subject to your opt-out preferences
- To comply with legal obligations
- To improve the Platform through aggregated analytics
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Sharing
We may share your information with:
- Stripe: For payment processing, including pre-purchase of e-gift card prizes. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Tremendous: When a Creator offers e-gift card prizes, winner email addresses are shared with Tremendous solely for digital gift card delivery. Tremendous is governed by its own Privacy Policy.
- Email service providers: To deliver transactional emails (e.g., coupon delivery, e-gift card links).
- Giveaway Creators: Participant names and emails are shared with the Creator who runs the giveaway you enter. Creators are bound by our Terms to use this data only for their campaign.
- Merchant API Users: When a Creator uses the Coupon Validation API, coupon codes and redemption data are accessible to the Creator's integrated platform (e.g., their e-commerce site or POS system) for the purpose of validating and redeeming coupons.
- Legal authorities: If required by law or to protect our legal rights.
5. Participant Data & Creator Responsibility
When you enter a giveaway, the Creator of that giveaway gains access to your entry data. Brandprize acts as a data processor on behalf of Creators. Creators are independently responsible for their use of participant data and must comply with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM where applicable).
6. Data Retention
- Creator account data is retained while your account is active and for 2 years after closure.
- Participant entry data is retained for 2 years after the giveaway ends to support legal compliance and prize verification.
- You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 8).
7. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for:
- Keeping you logged in
- Preventing duplicate entries and fraud
- Basic analytics (page views, feature usage)
- Push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) — only if you opt in to push notifications
We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict processing of your data
- Data portability

9. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us immediately.
10. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure payment processing via Stripe, and access controls. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong password and contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
11. Biometric App Lock & Advanced Entry Methods
Biometric App Lock: If you enable the biometric app lock on an installed PWA, verification is performed on your device using the WebAuthn standard. Your biometric data (face or fingerprint) never leaves your device and is never transmitted to or stored by Brandprize. We store only a local, device-bound credential identifier in your browser storage.
AI-Verified Photo Methods: Photos submitted for photo challenge and virtual safari hunt entry methods are processed by our AI vision model to score how well they match the Creator's prompt. The photo, the AI score, and the reason are stored with your entry and visible to the Creator, who may review submissions.
Ad Campaigns: Creators may send promotional Ad Campaigns to past participants via branded email and in-app alerts. You can unsubscribe from promotional emails via the link in each message and disable in-app notifications in your settings.
Geo-Fence Push Alerts: For geo-enabled giveaways, participants who install the app and grant location permission may receive proximity-based push notifications when near a sponsor location. Location is checked only to deliver these alerts — we do not continuously track or store your movements. You can revoke location permission at any time.
Mini-Games & Interactive Video: Mini-game play results and instant-win coupon claims are stored with your entry. For BrandPrize Interactive campaigns, your interaction responses (poll votes, survey answers, lead-capture email, and coupon claims) are collected and shared with the Creator.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
